Please say a prayer tonight

Dear reader,

A very dear friend of mine, just found out that her father has been diagnosed with cancer. I know the father well, and he is such an amzing happy go lucky man. And it hurts me to know that this is happening to her and her family. I implore you to help say a prayer tonight and every night if it's not too much trouble, for the whole family. Prayer is powerful thing and if enough people will do it i have faith in God. So to whatever God you might pray to in whatever religion it may be, i hope you will do this simple favor for me and her. Here is an excerpt from her blog

I doubt that I'll have very much time to blog now. My dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the lungs, which have already spread to the brain.. 2 lesions in the brain. I've been in a state of shock almost every day as bad news keeps flooding in with every result. I'm still in a weird state right now, lots to think about especially how I can stay closer to dad. I know I should stay optimistic but I can't help but think of throwing it all to be with him... what could be the few last months, although I'd really hope for the best. He just went for his first chemo treatment today. I must say I am very impressed with the efficiency of Singapore's hospital. I'm glad we decided to rush him to Singapore and not wait.

Will update from time to time, but I guess not frequently anymore. Please pray for him.

I thank you for your help on behalf of her and her family. God Bless

Rules for you girlfriend during World Cup

I got this off an email. It's funny. And i don't want to sound sexist. Just thought I would share it with everyone.

LIST OF RULES

1. From 9th June to 9th July 2006, you should read the sports section of the newspaper so that you are aware of what is going on regarding the World Cup, and that way you will be able to join in the conversations. If you fail to do this, then you will be looked at in a bad way, or you will be totally ignored. DO NOT complain about not receiving any attention.

2. During the World Cup, the television is mine, at all times, without any exceptions. If you even take a glimpse of the remote control, you will lose it (your eye).

3. If you have to pass by in front of the TV during a game, I don’t mind, as long as you do it crawling on the floor and without distracting me. If you decide to stand nude in front of the TV, make sure you put clothes on right after because if you catch a cold, I wont have time to take you to the doctor.

4. During the games I will be blind, deaf and mute, unless I require a refill of my drink or something to eat. You are out of your mind if you expect me to listen to you, open the door, answer the telephone, or pick up the baby that just fell from the
second floor... it wont happen.

5. It would be a good idea for you to keep at least 2 six packs in the fridge at all times, as well as plenty of things to nibble on, and please do not make any funny faces to my friends when they come over to watch the games. In return, you will be
allowed to use the TV between 12am and 6am, unless they replay a good game that I missed during the day.

6. Please, please, please!! if you see me upset because one of my teams is losing, DO NOT say “get over it, its only a game”, or “don’t worry, they’ll win next time”. If you say these things, you will only make me angrier and I will love you less.
Remember, you will never ever know more about football than me and your so called “words of encouragement” will only lead to an arguement.

7. You are welcome to sit with me to watch one game and you can talk to me during halftime but only when the commercials are on, and only if the halftime score is pleasing me. In addition, please note I am saying “one” game, hence do not use
the World Cup as a nice cheesy excuse to “spend time together”.

8. The replays of the goals are very important. I don’t care if I have seen them or I haven’t seen them, I want to see them again. Many times. There are always points of discussions which we missed the last time.

9. Tell your friends NOT to have any babies, or any other child related parties or gatherings that requires my attendance
because:

I will not go,
I will not go, and
I will not go.

But, if a friend of mine invites us to his house on a Sunday to watch a game, we will be there in a flash.
WORD!

10. The daily World Cup highlights show on TV every night is just as important as the games themselves. Do not even think about saying “but you have already seen this...why don’t you change the channel to something we can all watch??”, the reply will be: “Refer to Rule #2 of this list”.

11. And finally, please save your expressions such as “Thank God the World Cup is only every 4 years”. I am immune to these words, because after this comes the Champions League, Premier League, Italian League, Spanish League, etc etc.
Also the European Championship & Copa America

Thank you for your co-operation.

Regards,

Men of the World

My very handsome Godson and Nephew

These are brand new pictures of my godson and nephew. Enjoy. I can't wait till the come back in July.

Chef Pierre loves Arsenal!!!

We had some leftover burger patties from last night and i was not satisfied with the barbeque yesterday. SO i decided to cook em up again. It was fun preparing and cooking 3 stoves at once. So made burgers with special onion garnishing. Dill pickles. Scrambled eggs and baked beans (not in picture).

THen it was of for a game or 2 of betrayal with the boys. Jon, Moots, Murat, Rajan, Ash and Riza.

However I was not really concentrating much cos there was an important Arsenal game going on. Ok lets break it down. Arsenal had to win and Tottenham had to draw with West Ham in order for Arsenal to qualify for Champions League next season. Now West Ham is not a strong team and Tottenham have been quite good all season. But lo and behold at the last game. Tottenham lost and of course Arsenal won!!!! WHich means all that crap i been getting from Tottenham fans all season has come to an end and i got bragging rights till next season. Hahahaha. The feeling is awesome!!!

The man who made it happen Arsene Wenger. Manager/Coach of Arsenal

Also took a walk to Borneo Ink today and finally decided which tattoo i am getting. So expect to see me with one by the 24th of May.
